Gathering Materials for Your New Web Site
Follow these 4 easy steps to gather the necessary materials for your web site.:
Step 1: Researching Competitors on the WWW
Look at competitor's websites and note what you like and what you don't like. List a few for us to look at so that we know what you have in mind.
Step 2: Selecting a Domain Name
Select a domain name that is descriptive of your company or service and easy to remember and type. We will be happy to assist you with that process. Remember: your domain name will also be part of your e-mail address. If the name is very long, people will have to do a lot of typing every time they want to reach you! Find out if your desired name is available. Decide whether you would like to reserve your domain name with different extensions (.com, .org, .net, .biz) to prevent your competitors from using them.
Step 3: Creating Web Content
Collect the content you want to publish on your website. Make a list of fields you would like to have in your e-mail form. In several consultations during the design process we will discuss each page with you and help you present your products and services for maximum results.
Provide us with materials you may already have on hand:
- Business Card
- Company Logo
- Brochure
- Flyer
- Store Photos
- Employee Photos
- Product Photos
- Catalog
- Product/Services List
- Price List
- Yellow Pages Ad
- Newspaper Ad
Step 4: Selecting Graphics and Images:
Select an image you would like to use on your website. You may give us more than one and we will select the most favorable one to use on a website. We can also recommend a photographer or suggest stock image libraries.
